Cetshawayo

Cetshawayo (1872-1879) was the last great ruler of independent Zulu. His political insight and military leadership helped in restoring the prestige and power of the Zulu nation.

Cetshawayo was a strict king who imposed a threat to British colonial interest. He fought several battles and was the head of a young Zulu group called Usuthu. Cetshawayo died in February 1884.
